The deceptivly simple dish known as Currywurst is a Berlin institution - there is even a Berlin Currywurst Museum. Pork sausage covered in ketchup and curry powder can be a tricky one to get right, the quality and size of sausage, sweet or hotness of sauce and spice mix of curry powder should be well balanced. We are very happy to say that Curry Mitte has the best Currywurst in town.
Curry Mitte ticks all the boxes: good selection sausages, including a few that come from a sustainable farm; great home made chilli sauce, as well as some devilishly hot sauces for those that want to push the limit; ketchup which is the right balance of sweet and tangy; and chips that deliver the perfect crunch. Somehow though, as good as the food is, it is the staff that make this place what it is, with their typical Berliner charm and friendly banter a favourite of visitors and regulars alike.
