Description

Experience the original Berlin City Tour with live guides who provide insights and humor in both German and English. Native Berliners and newcomers share the city's history and culture.

The tour stops at Potsdamer Platz, once a bustling square in the 1930s, later divided by the Berlin Wall. Today, modern towers and the Legoland Discovery Center dominate the area.

From there, the route continues past key sites such as the city parliament, Martin-Gropius-Bau museum, Topography of Terror exhibition, and the former Nazi Ministries on Niederkirchner Straße.

At Gendarmenmarkt, the tour moves towards Alexanderplatz and the TV Tower, stopping near the Neptune Fountain, the site of the former Berlin City Palace with shopping opportunities nearby.

Next is Karl-Liebknecht-Straße, where passengers can transfer to a boat tour or admire landmarks like the New Synagogue and the Hackeschen Höfe courtyards.

The journey continues along Unter den Linden, passing Museum Island, Bebelplatz, ZDF Capital City Studios, and Madame Tussauds Berlin, before reaching the Brandenburg Gate and nearby embassies.

The route then passes the Holocaust Memorial and continues past the Reichstag, government district, and Hauptbahnhof, offering views of the German Chancellery and the Reichstag Dome.

Finally, the tour crosses the Tiergarten park, larger than New York’s Central Park, passing Congress Hall and ending near Bellevue Palace and the Siegessäule with its golden statue.

Note: In case of illness or high passenger volume, audio commentary may replace live guides temporarily. The next bus will have a live guide.

Important Information

  • From July 4 to 17, 2026, the Gendarmenmarkt stop is relocated to Französische Str. corner Markgrafenstr. (at Cafe Achteck) due to the 'Classic Open Air' event.
  • Due to dilapidated bridges, the tour cannot follow the shortest route. This may cause delays but does not affect the stops.
  • A tunnel on Unter den Linden street is restricted for heavy vehicles, causing occasional bypasses and missing stops 11 to 13. The bypass includes views of Hackescher Markt, New Synagogue, and Friedrichstadt-Palast.
  • Buses run every 15-30 minutes from approximately 9:30 AM to 5 PM, with intervals of 30-45 minutes from November to March.
