Now it houses around 275,000 original objects which makes it one of the largest popular art European collections in the world.
The building is in the Berlin Steglitz-Zehlendorf district and is shared with the Ethnological Museum of Berlin and the Museum of Asian Art. Public transport connections are good, with underground, U-Bahn and bus stops nearby.
Admission is €8 for adults and €4 for children, students and seniors.
