Ephraim Palais

Berlin

Museums Historic Sites

Constructed between 1762 and 1766, the palace is home to special exhibitions about the history and culture of Berlin. The exhibitions include the 'Ephraim Salon', which is home to workshops and interactive learning games.

The building was actually destroyed in 1935 to make space for the Mühlendamm, and was then rebuilt using the original designs close to its original location in 1985.

Of particular interest is the 'Grand Staircase', a huge centrepiece that spirals upwards throughout the entire building.

The museum will reopen on 27th February 2014 after construction work, and visitors in possession of a 'Museumspass Berlin' will receive free entry. Normal entrance price is €5 and ever first Wednesday in the month is free entry day.
