Berlin Natural History Museum
Berlin
This is a great museum for anyone interested in dinosaurs, animals, evolution, geology or the natural world.
Founded in 1810, the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, or Natural History Museum Berlin is the largest in Germany and one of the top five natural history museums in the world.
With 30 million objects including over 270,000 in the museum's wet collection, the natural history museum of Berlin is bound to keep your attention for a good few hours.
One of the highlights is the 13.27m Brachiosaurus skeleton, the tallest displayed skeleton in the world. When alive, this giant would have weighed in at around 50 tonnes, which is about 8 elephants!
This fascinating museum is the perfect place to come with kids, with so much to hold their attention, from towering dinosaurs to tiny insects with all manner of in between sized specimens. There is even a class where your little ones can get their microscope license.
