Not far from the Fernsehturm (TV tower) is Café-Haus Koch Berlin in Alexanderplatz. This is a go to café for locals looking to grab a good coffee, a quick snack, or even to take a break and sit down to breakfast with a pot of tea.
Good coffee culture does not come on every single street corner in Berlin. Often it is a bit like playing the roulette: Sometimes you hit the jackpot, but most of the time it falls short. At this cute café with old Berlin charm, however, their machine is beautiful, the baristas are passionate and the coffee selection...bountiful.
Also a mention must be made to the good tea selection for those non coffee drinkers looking for a nice cuppa. Their cakes are large, impressive and yummy, and there's a great selection of pastries and croissants as well as freshly squeezed orange juice. Definitely worth a visit.
