This Vietnamese market likes you to feel that the customer is king, which is probably why it's so cheap! First let's start with the food. Not only are there some great Asian supermarkets here where you can buy Asian groceries you won't necessarily find in your local Berlin Aldi or Rewe supermarket but there are a number of restaurants where you can eat authentic Vietnamese food, really, really cheap! And its soooooo yummy.
The Vietnamese community in Berlin, and especially around Lichtenberg, is one of the largest non-European immigrant groups in the country. This may explain why there are so many places to eat good Vietnamese food and of course The Dong Xuan Center is bursting at the seams with shops selling all sorts of goods, for business and private traders alike. Over 250 dealers have stalls in the sheds here selling everything you can think of. We suggest you visit, especially if you like Asian food!
