Galeria Kaufhof - Berlin Alexanderplatz

Originally one of the largest department stores in the GDR, after the fall of the Berlin Wall the building was bought by Kaufhof Warenhaus. In 2006 they performed a huge refurbish and now it covers about 35,000 square meters of shopping paradise.
Known especially for their large selection of foods, both commercial and gourmet and ranging from fresh fish to international wines and chocolates, Galeria Kaufhof is a big, bright, brassy, cavernous block filled to the brim with all your shopping desires.
Each level will cater to your different needs; fashion for both men and women, electronics, perfumes, jewellery, sporting goods, household goods, children's clothing and toys, haberdashery, restaurant and then of course the pre mentioned fantastic food floor. Depending on what you're after, prices can get high, but you will find anything you're after here and so conveniently located in the middle of Alexandeplatz, right by the train station.
