Far from being a gimmicky theme park style bar, the Rock und Wikingerbar located on Dolziger Straße, a small street off Frankfurter Allee in Berlin's Friedrichshain, is one of the best places to go in Berlin if you like your music hard. At the bar you will mostly find locals who love their metal and hardcore, and it is usually a pretty mixed and friendly crowd. It is a pretty small bar, which adds to its charm, although it still manages to fit in a pool table and a football table.
As well as a good selection of beers and spirits they also serve a number of different Meads, an alchoholic beverage made from honey. If you haven't tried it before it is quite tasty, although can be a little sweet for some taste buds. For some added kitsch, you can even drink it out of a horn!
