Opened in 1913 and named for its first owner, Clara Bühler, Clärchens Ballhaus has become an institution in Berlin. Located in the heart of Berlin Mitte, on Auguststraße, Clärchens has, throughout the past hundred years, been a place to meet, drink and dance the night away.
Each night of the week a different style of music can be danced, often with complimentary beginner dance class at the start of the evening. If you love partner dancing, whether it be waltz, cha cha, tango, salsa or swing, then you best check out Clärchens.
There is also a kitchen at Clärchens preparing a tasty selection of German and Italian meals at pretty reasonable prices. During the summer the large area in front of the building is the perfect place to enjoy a pizza and a glass of beer before heading back in to dance.
