Badenscher Hof is oozing with character. The mellow yellow walls are plastered with photos of black jazz legends. The room is intimate and the sound levels are perfect, which means at the front tables, you can get up close and personal with some of Berlin's most talented black musicians.
On the programme, you'll find everything from Havana soul to swing, funk to blues, gospel to jazz, and everything in between. If you want a bite to eat, order early and be prepared for a bit of a wait, because the place is packed and space is limited. But it will be worth it. The chicken jambalaya and a cold German beer come warmly recommended with a side of saxophone, drums, and rockin' vocals.
Open daily from 4 pm, Saturday 6 pm, Sundays 12 pm.
