Pratergarten

Located on Kastanienalle in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg, people have been enjoying beer on the site since 1837.  We aren't sure how popular it was back then, but right now it has to be one of Berlin's favourites.  Every day from April to September, locals and visitors alike flock to Prater, find themselves a spot on a bench underneath the chestnut trees, and enjoy the afternoon.  

Prater have their own house Pilsner and dark beer which are pretty damn yummy as well as serving a few bottled beers, wines, soft drinks, tea and coffee.  They also have a variety of food on offer from cakes and slices through to Bratwurst, steak and other tasty savoury delights.

Prater has a great chilled atmosphere and is family friendly:  There is even a small play ground in the corner to keep the kids occupied.
