My first time at an Austrian restaurant and it did not disappoint. The goat cheese appetizer was quite flavorful with the gherkin sorbet and beet root…excellent pairing. The schnitzel was thin, piping hot and crispy, didn’t leave me to “heavy feeling”. I went with the smaller serving. The recommendation came from a local, and I would happily pass this one on.
had one of the best dining experiences at this schnitzel restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt incredibly cozy and warm, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal. The staff were extremely kind and welcoming, and they truly made us feel at home throughout the entire evening. The schnitzel was absolutely amazing, perfectly cooked, crispy, and full of flavor. Even the salad and potatoes served on the side were delicious and surprisingly memorable. Honestly, I’m still dreaming about the whole meal. Everything we tried was excellent, and the quality really stood out. It ended up being the perfect final meal for our trip to Berlin and made the experience even more special. I would definitely love to come back again.
If there’s one thing I would eat again in Berlin, it’s the schnitzel at Ottenthal. Honestly, it was incredible. We had one, and it was so good that we immediately ordered another. The staff were also incredibly kind and welcoming. Make sure to book a reservation before you go, as it gets quite busy.
We had an amazing dinner there Last night. The cordon blu schnitzel was just perfection with the cucumber potato sallad. We have tried alot of schnitzels and this is so far one of the best. We also tried the traditional ”pancake” Kaishersmann, it was to die for!!!!! Very nice and kind service. Sasha was so lovely and inviting to us, we would definitively go back there!
Dinner was immaculate, with a Wiener Schnitzel that was light and crisp, the crumb delicate and buttery, served simply with white asparagus and potatoes. We had a younger diner with us and the staff were warm, engaged and thoughtful, offering colouring pencils without fuss. Desserts were restrained and very well judged. We ate here while staying round the corner from the excellent Hampton Berlin City West. Calm and confident about food and wine, Ottenthal fully earns its reputation.
