Sprachenatelier Berlin - institute for languages, arts and culture

Enter the front door of Sprachenatelier, located on Frankfurter Allee in Berlin-Friedrichshain and you will immediately fall in love with this charming building with its ornate architectural details, and old world charm.  Not only a language school, Sprachenatelier also offers an opportunity for artistic expression as well as cultural exchange.

Classes

Sprachenatelier offers a number of difference German courses from total beginner (A1) to advanced (C1/C2) including Intensive, evening and one on one classes.  Intensive courses are offered mornings and afternoons and consist of 15-18 teaching units per week (the standard German teaching unit is 45 minutes), depending on whether online or offline.

With an average of 8 participants per class, you are guaranteed plenty of individual attention and opportunity to develop your language skills.  In addition to German, Sprachenatelier also offers around 40 other languages from popular ones like English or Italian to more exotic languages such as Mongolian, Kurdish or Norwegian.

Location

Sprachenatelier has a great location in Friedrichshain.  It's super close to public transport and a short walking distance from many great cafes, restaurants and bars.  Located on the ground floor of the school is cafe Garbe, a good option for a quick coffee or bite to eat on the way to class.

Cultural Program

In addition to their language classes, they also organise cultural activities, art exhibitions and courses as well as organising excursions and activities creating a rich cultural environment that perfectly complements the learning of a language!

Sprachenatelier offers assistance with accommodation, with various options including shared apartments and guest families, and can provide advice on local hotels and hostels too.

Examinations

A good option if you need an official certificate for work, study or visa purposes, Sprachenatelier is a certified telc examination centre, and also offer exam preparation classes to give you the greatest chance of success.

Prices

Sprachenatelier intensive courses are fairly priced and start at 100€ for a 4-week evening course, or between €269-330 for a 4-week intensive course, with reduced rates the longer you book. All options include a one-off €50 registration fee.
