This tour is designed to orient you in the city and visit all the main sights, at a relaxed pace where everyone can join. Bicycles are the perfect means of transport in Berlin to form an overview and see all the biggest highlights in one round trip around the city. You cannot come to Berlin without exploring the remains of the Berlin Wall. The best place is the huge memorial that takes up most of Bernauer Strasse, with large sections left standing and a life size reconstruction. Here we stop in several places and talk about the wall and its historic significance as well its importance in shaping Berlin today. Hear how the Reichstag was abused to subvert democracy and how it finally received an honest chance as a symbol for a proper democracy. Experience the uniquely quiet and wonderfully green park that is Tiergarten in the centre of Berlin, while spotting the highlights at a distance through the trees. Bike through the Brandenburg Gate and feel and learn about the changing historic significance of this giant of political symbols. Understand where the Nazis had their government quarter and trace down Hitler's bunker and find out what happened to it.
