ソビエト戦争記念碑は、第二次世界大戦後にソビエト連邦によってベルリンに建設された3つの記念碑の中で最大のもので、クロイツベルクのすぐ外にあるトレプトワーパークに位置しています。その規模は本当に印象的です。焦点は、ソビエトの彫刻家エフゲニー・ヴチェチッチによる力強い12メートルの高さの像です。それは、記念碑を見下ろす丘の上に位置し、ソビエトの兵士が寸断されたハーケンクロイツを抱いて立っている姿を描いています。像の両側には、16体のサルコファガスが配置されており、それぞれが16のソビエト連邦加盟国を表しており、戦争のモチーフやヨシフ・スターリンの引用が刻まれています。像の反対側には、象徴的に造られた2本のスタイリッシュなソビエト旗があり、これらは象徴的に、破壊された新帝国宰相官邸（ヒトラーの事務所）から取られた石と大理石で構築されています。記念碑の入り口には、失われた息子達を悼むロシアの母を象徴する泣く女性の小さな像があります。

約80,000人のソビエト兵士がベルリンの戦いで命を落とし、彼らの犠牲を記念するだけでなく、記念碑は彼らの約5,000人の埋葬地でもあります。
記念碑に行くには、Sバーンでトレプトワーパーク駅に乗り、そこから徒歩5〜10分です。
