Description
After Dieter Bichler lost his apartment in Thuringia, he ended up at Berlin's Zoo station in the fall of 2012. Together with a group of other homeless people, he moved along Kantstraße to organize food, warm up, and find a suitable place to sleep. Dieter's tour is about daily survival on the streets, about being poor in the affluent district of Charlottenburg, and about friendships that can probably only be found on the streets.
Life on the streets has its own rules: everything is public, nothing is private. Inevitably, your perspective on the city changes when you become homeless, when streets, parks, and train stations become your center of life.
Our city tours sharpen your senses for this different perception of Berlin. People who have been affected themselves provide information about homelessness in the capital and report on their lives on the streets. Our city tours are about individual perspectives. Here, people who are otherwise often talked about take the floor. They invite you to engage in dialogue and see the city from a different perspective.
