This compact guided walk (1.6 km/1.0 mi/90 min) includes most Berlin main attractions and is packed with 800 years of history. It explores the massive impact of WW2 bombs and battles on the today Berlin cityscape, which is a weird mix of Baroque, Bauhaus, Brutalism and more architecture eras.
The entertaining, varied hike with an English & German spoken guide starts at Berlin's most famous meeting point, the World Clock at Alexanderplatz. It's located next to same named Metro & Subway station 'Alexanderplatz'.

Spots 6.-10. are located in Spree Island. The north part of this island is much better known as Museum Island, an UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The excursion ends at the Humboldt Forum, Germany's most visited museum complex. It's located in the Royal City Palace, Berlin's mostly discussed reconstruction. The original castle was the main residence of Prussian kings for almost 500 years.
There is no better place to understand and explore the changing (building) history and look of the German capital.

The guide is out of a Berlin/Hamburg family and has been living in Berlin for more than 25 years. He studied history & political science, worked as a journalist, exhibition designer & press spokesman.
