Around the old hunting lodge on the shores of Grunewaldsee, artisans and artists build their stalls in the magical ambience on the second weekend of Advent.
Gift ideas, handicrafts and the smell of mulled wine and other delicacies set visitors off the beaten track of the city for Christmas. To the delight of children, many fairy tale characters are among the traditional guests of the market. As night falls, they bring historically dressed night watchmen to the Paulsborn car park and the bus in Clayallee.
Like every year fairy tale characters like Ms. Holle, Hänsel and Gretel, Cinderella and her evil stepmother mix in the hustle and bustle. A fairy tale-teller fascinates young and old with exciting stories. In the hunting magazine you can take photos for individual Christmas cards and on the water terrace families have the opportunity to make Christmas gifts. Even a small musical stage program provides for entertainment again.
In the hunting lodge Grunewald, Berlin's oldest castle (1542) on the shores of Grunewaldsee, you can see a significant collection of paintings by Lucas Cranach the Younger and Older. The hunting magazine informs about the history of hunting in Brandenburg and the history of the castle.
Admission: 3 euros / reduced 2 euros (including castle tour), children under 6 years free
