Считается одним из лучших художников маслом и акварелью 20-го века, Эмиль Нольде был одним из первых экспрессионистов и членом Die Brücke. Известен яркими цветами и блестящими цветочными мотивами, его работы отражают его восхищение и признание творчеству Винсента Ван Гога.

Открыт ежедневно с 10:00 до 19:00, взимается плата в размере €8 с человека за вход, однако для студентов эта сумма снижается до €3. Действуют скидки для групп от десяти человек и более. Также предоставляется сниженная цена в первый понедельник каждого месяца.

В музее есть небольшой магазин, где можно приобрести репродукции и книги об художнике и его наследии.
