Coworking in Berlin - A Brief History

Before considering some of our suggestions for coworking spaces in Berlin, first take some time to learn about their history in the city and the growing trend in modern times.

In 1995, computer specialists established the first coworking space in Berlin, called the hackerspace. It was a space to share knowledge and support people working together. Since then, the hackerspace started growing in number, evolving into the modern coworking space we all love.

Nowadays, coworking spaces are becoming much more common, mainly because more and more people have been switching to remote working since the pandemic, boosting the growth of coworking spaces.
