At €222 for a four-week course (within the Friends-Tariff), Kapitel Zwei Berlin is one of the best value language schools in Berlin. Usually, this sort of price would mean large class sizes and overworked teachers, but at Kapitel Zwei Berlin, class sizes are capped at 12 with an average of around 8 participants in each course. Teachers are engaging and dedicated, and significant emphasis is placed on communication. That is not to say that you won't have to learn any grammar, but grammar exercises are usually tied to a real-world activity that you get to practice in small groups or pairs during class.
Due to the Corona pandemic, Kapitel Zwei now offers all German courses, both offline, in the real classroom and online, in the virtual classroom.
All course levels are available, from absolute beginners (A1) to advanced (C2). They also run exam preparation courses including telc Deutsch preparation courses B1, B2, C1 Hochschule and B2/C1 Medizin, and Fachsprachprüfung vor der Ärztekammer, as well as Test DaF. In addition, Kapitel Zwei Berlin also offers Conversation, Grammar, and Pronunciation classes.
You can attend all courses on-site in Berlin or online with Zoom.
Kapitel Zwei Berlin runs four sessions per day, a bonus if you happen to be working in Berlin and want to study in the evening. The intensive courses in the real classroom run Monday to Thursday from 9am-12pm, 12pm-3pm, 3pm-6pm and 6pm-9pm costing €279 for 4 weeks. Grammar, conversation, and pronunciation courses are run twice weekly: one session per week costs 82€ for four weeks.
The school also has a friend referral tariff. Sign up with a friend! You will both save €20 off the price of an intensive course and you'll have a study buddy!
