この美しい古い劇場は、たまにの劇場火災、倒産、第二次世界大戦中の破壊にもかかわらず、中世やルネサンスの魅力を一切失っていません。1985年に改装されて再オープンし、ベルリンのミュージカル劇場ファンが集まり、素晴らしいミュージカルを楽しむ場所です。レ・ミゼラブル、ガイズアンドドールズ、そして最近ではバンパイアのダンスなどが上演されています。
チケット数枚投資しなくても、金と白で飾られた見事なシャンデリアが天井に垂れ下がる壮麗なロビーを見るだけの価値があります。
2014年のほとんどは、Theater des Westensで『危ない遊び相手（戦争馬）』を上演しており、ロンドン、ブロードウェイ、カナダにも上演されています。感動的なストーリーは、若い少年と驚くべき馬の友情を描いています。全てがドイツ語で歌われ、話されていますが、音楽とドラマは国境を超えるものです！
