歴史的な場所

1816年に建設されたこの建物は、著名な建築家カール・フリードリッヒ・シンケルによって設計され、当初、プロイセンの皇太子の部隊のための見張り所として使用されました。

原設計は、ナポレオン戦争で戦死した人々の追悼記念として構想されました。第二次世界大戦後、建物は東ベルリンにあり、1960年にはファシズムと軍国主義の犠牲者の追悼記念として、不明な兵士と不明な収容所犠牲者の遺骨が含まれて開かれました。統一後、1993年には「戦争と独裁の犠牲者のためのドイツ連邦共和国の中央記念碑」として再献されました。
