繁華なポツダム広場からはすぐ近くにあるErna-Berger-Straßeにあるガードタワーは、ちょっとした隠れた名所です。25年前、この塔は空き地に囲まれていましたが、今は新しく建てられたマンションの隣に位置しています。この塔はかつて、機関銃と洪水を浴びせるライトを持つ2人のガードによって管理されていました。今は、ベルリンの壁の歴史的な遺物であるこの塔の物語や、周辺地域の歴史、一般的なベルリンの壁の歴史を共有することが大好きな親切なボランティアによって管理されています。上にある展望台への狭いはしごを登るためには、€3.50のわずかな寄付をすることができます。この寄付は、修復活動に役立ち、将来の世代のために塔を保護することを確実にします。

ボランティアによって運営されているため、営業時間はやや不規則であり、広告されている時間に開いている保証はありません。それでも、平日は午前11時から午後2時、週末は午後2時から午後6時まで（雨が降っていない場合を除く）通常開いています。
