This tour is a complete visit to the memorial camp. The tour starts in Berlin City Center, where you will meet your guide and take the short train ride out to the Sachsenhausen Camp Memorial. Full Camp Entrance & licensed guide Learn how, when, and why the concentration camps and the system as a whole came into being and developed. We will look at the way the concentration camps system developed from ad-hoc prisons into purpose-built facilities and look at the multitude of functions, crimes, experimentation, murder, and mass murder that occurred within (and sometimes beyond) the confines of the camp. Some landmarks on the tour are: The SS and Gestapo Prison Block Infirmary Building Tower A (the main camp entrance) Barrack Buildings Station Z (the purpose-built execution facility) Pathology Building and Mortuary Cellar The Camp Kitchen Much Much More Sachsenhausen is a Memorial to the many people who lost their lives and suffered here during the war.
