Description

Discover sights and castles from their most beautiful perspective : the water. Enjoy the unobstructed view of the great lakes of the Havel lake district. Wooded banks, magnificent villas slowly pass by. Relax and escape from the noise on land. Enjoy the fresh breeze on the upper deck. Take a sunbath on the soft cushions of the sundeck. Enjoy the cozy atmosphere on the main deck. Large windows provide a clear view of the passing landscape. On our main deck you will also find our Bar and two toilets. We start is at our Marina in 14471 Potsdam. We cruise upriver to downtown Potsdam, the port and the theatre will pass by. Now we come to the Deep Lake. Park of Babelsberg Castle passes on starboard. The many castles on the bank are part of the UNESCO cultural heritage. As we cross under the Glienicke Bridge - the Spy Bridge -, Babelsberg Castle greets us from the hill opposite. Klein-Glienicke Castle passes on starboard. Enjoy the wide view over the Jungfernsee. The royal pier 'Kongsnaes' lies on the port side. Now we are heading to Cecilienhof Castle. History was written here: in 1945, the Allies negotiated the Potsdam Treaty. Several historic buildings and villas line the shore here. After a turnaround we set course for the Peacock Island. Before that we pass the Sacrower Heilandskirche. The first attempts at wireless telegraphy took place here in 1897. After we have passed the ferry station at Pfaueninsel, the island passes by on the port side. Unfortunately, nothing is left of the secret laboratory of the glassmaker and alchemist Johann Kunckel. Around 1685 he researched here the production of crystal glass and invented gold ruby glass. Now the wide expanse of water of the Havel opens up in front of us. After a quick look at the Wannsee with the many villas and sailing yachts on the shore, we turn around and head for our home dock. We travel in all weathers during the summer season. The yacht is heated on the main deck. On the upper deck aft, a windshield and a roof protect against rain and sun. Our on-board service will be happy to bring you a warm blanket. We still recommend that you bring weatherproof clothing and, depending on the weather, a sweater. Our on-board service serves cold and warm drinks at your seat. Drinks are not included in the fare. No food/drinks brought with you. A maximum of 20 guests can travel on a tour. We have free choice of seats. It is not possible to reserve seats. The seat is free when no one is there. Dogs are not possible on board. If the tour is fully booked, the fare will be refunded. Group bookings have priority. Booking well in advance is recommended. Children under 8 years of age must wear a life jacket when staying on the upper deck. The fare must be paid for each child. By booking you accept my terms and conditions.
