Description
The boat departs from Potsdam harbor, sailing along Babelsberg Park with its palace and Hofdamenhaus toward the Teltow Canal, passing Griebnitzsee. The area is lined with villas formerly owned by UFA stars and other historical architecture. During the 1945 Potsdam Conference, American President Truman and British Prime Minister Churchill stayed in this area.
After leaving the Prinz-Friedrich-Leopold Canal and sailing through Little Wannsee, the boat arrives at Big Wannsee and its well-known beach, where it makes a short stop after about one hour. The nearby Wannsee S-Bahn station is within a few minutes' walk, providing quick access to Berlin city center.
Continuing the journey, the boat passes Pfaueninsel (Peacock Island) and returns toward Potsdam. It crosses Jungfernsee with its palaces and parks, goes under Glienicke Bridge, and reaches Tiefen See, offering views of the Potsdam skyline once more.
This route is ideal as a standalone two-hour round trip or as a concluding segment of a day trip to Potsdam and the Brandenburg region.
