Description
Begin your DJ journey with a hands-on workshop in Berlin, guided by a professional techno DJ. Learn the foundations of dance music DJing with a strong focus on techno and club culture, guided by Berlin-based DJ and producer eXpressivo.
Combine theory and practical experience, giving you a real understanding of how DJs craft a musical journey on the dancefloor. After a short introduction, move directly into the DJ booth where you'll practice on professional equipment used in clubs worldwide.
Learn how electronic music works structurally and how DJs mix tracks smoothly to keep energy flowing. Topics covered include beatmatching, smooth transitions, understanding BPM and phrasing, introduction to harmonic mixing and musical keys, track selection, and building a (coherent) DJ set, and understanding dancefloor energy and flow.
Practice mixing music yourself while receiving individual coaching and feedback throughout the session. Whether you're a complete beginner, a passionate music lover, or someone already experimenting with DJing, the workshop is tailored to your level. The goal is not just to teach techniques, but to help you develop your own musical approach and confidence behind the decks.
The session takes place in a realistic club-style DJ setup in Berlin, giving you an authentic experience of what it feels like to perform in a professional DJ booth. All music and practice tracks are provided, but you're also welcome to bring your own USB if you'd like to mix music you love.
Meeting Point
We will meet outside the studio in Friedrichshain, near Warschauer Straße in Berlin. After meeting, we will enter the studio together where the DJ workshop takes place.
You will receive the exact meeting location and directions after booking. Please note: if, at the time of booking, the studio itself still needs to be confirmed and Noisy Rooms is not available, we will meet instead at Pirate Studios — a professional-grade DJ environment offering the same quality experience.

Important Information
- The workshop takes place in a professional music studio in Berlin, located in Friedrichshain near Warschauer Straße.
We meet outside the studio entrance and enter together at the start of the session. Exact meeting details will be sent after booking.
The workshop is suitable for participants aged 16 and older.
From first-time beginners to experienced DJs — everyone is welcome. The session is fully tailored to your skill level, musical interests, and creative goals.
All DJ equipment is provided — you do not need to bring anything.
You are welcome to bring your own USB with music if you would like to mix your personal tracks.
Please send a short message after booking about your musical interests (e.g. techno, house, hard groove), so the session can be slightly adapted for you.
