Description
Follow the scientific legacy of Alexander von Humboldt and Charles Darwin through exhibits shaped by the research of around 200 scientists. The museum’s collection houses over 30 million items, many fundamental to ongoing studies.
The Dinosaur Hall recreates life from 150 million years ago in the Upper Jurassic period, featuring the Giraffatitan brancai skeleton, the tallest of its kind mounted worldwide. The Archaeopteryx lithographica fossil is also on display, known as a key link in natural history.
The East Wing reveals the scientific value of the wet collection, containing about a million animals preserved in alcohol. The biodiversity wall presents over 3,000 species, highlighting the museum’s focus on biodiversity and conservation challenges.
Temporary exhibitions and an education program with guided tours, lectures, and workshops provide fresh insights and experiences throughout the year.
