Description
Join a 90-minute walk around the Berlin Palace site on Museum Island. Learn about the palace’s original history, bomb damage during World War II, and its demolition in 1951 for a demonstration area. Discover the story of the 'Palace of the GDR-Republic,' built in 1975 and closed in 1990 due to asbestos contamination.
You will also receive a full presentation of the reconstructed Baroque façades and the cultural center inside, the Humboldt Forum, developed between 2013 and 2020. The guide played a key role as head of communications for the public developer and owner during this period.
