								Highlights
- I was working for this project from the beginning, I‘m the insider
- As an architect and studied politics I’ll explain history and architecture
- I‘ll tell you the stories behind the curtain about history and architecture.
Description
We shall have a walk of about one and a half hour around the site of the Berlin Palace on the Museums Island and I will explain to you the history of the original palace that was bombed but not totally destroyed in 2nd world war. Than the commies teared it down in 1951 to get a vast demonstration area. I‘ll tell you about the former „Palace of the GDR-Republic“, built in 1975, which was closed by the last GDR-Volkskammer 1990 because of asbestos-contamination. And we will have a full presentation of the reconstructed baroque façades with the cultural hub named Humboldt Forum inside, from 2013 till 2020, when I was working for the public developer, client and owner as head of communications.
Includes
Two hours of unique experience of the most discussed german cultural project in the reunified capital of Germany. These stories I‘ll tell you are not yet written.
