Description
We start in the center of the alternative Kreuzberg district, at Kottbusser Tor, where the Turkish influence is particularly strong. We will also visit one of Berlin's liveliest streets, Adalbertstraße. Oranienplatz will give us an insight not only into the gentrification that is taking place in Kreuzberg, but also into the history of the neighborhood from its origins. We'll continue our journey through history with a short walk in the greenery to St. Michael's Church. Then we'll go from one surprise to another with alternative places with fascinating histories along the former route of the Wall, which are intertwined with the great history of Berlin, such as the Rauchhaus and the Baumhaus. We'll end at Rio Reiser Platz, which perfectly sums up Kreuzberg.
