Description

Frida is who she is and does what she wants. When she gets sick and has to spend a long time in a clinic, her classmates mock her. Alone in her hospital room, she brings a magical best friend to life in her imagination – and also names her bestie Frida. The fictional Frida is a carefree and always cheerful version of herself. Soon, in Frida's blossoming imagination, the boundaries between reality and imagination start to blur. Together with other young patients on the ward, the indestructible Medi-Kids, she embarks on adventurous journeys of the mind and discovers her hidden superpowers. Frida & Frida is a Young Show with a lot of Mexican flair and full of joie de vivre, which also deals with topics such as illness and worries in a child-friendly and empathetic way. Together with the young artists on stage, our young guests in the audience will experience that they too can master challenges and that they have real superpowers that just want to be discovered: self-confidence, imagination, humor, and confidence. The spectacular Young Show is inspired by Frida Kahlo's early youth, long before she became a world-famous Mexican icon. All her life, she suffered from the effects of polio, which she got as a young girl – but she didn't let that stop her. A tribute Frida Kahlo would have loved: all made up, yet with real references. Full to the brim with wit and unwavering strength. The Young Shows at the Palast set standards across Europe. Over 100 young talents aged 6 to 18 take part in each performance. The young ensemble is the largest of its kind in Europe, consisting of around 240 kids and teens from over 20 different nations.
