Their borscht is everything it should be: rich, earthy, and full of depth, served with a generous spoonful of sour cream that brings everything together. It's the kind of dish that instantly feels nostalgic, even if you've never grown up eating it. The pelmeni are another standout. Delicate little dumplings with perfectly seasoned filling, served simply enough to let the flavors shine. Every bite tastes homemade, as though someone has spent the entire morning folding them by hand. The blini are equally memorable, light and beautifully prepared, whether topped with smoked salmon, caviar, or enjoyed in a sweeter version. They perfectly capture the balance between elegance and comfort that defines the entire menu. One dish I still find myself thinking about is the Beef Stroganoff. Rich without being heavy, incredibly tender, and served with creamy mashed potatoes that are every bit as comforting as the sauce itself. It's classic cooking done with care rather than unnecessary reinvention. The service deserves just as much praise as the food. Friendly without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely welcoming, the staff create the feeling that they're happy you're there. I absolutely loved this place! It’s one of the best spots for Russian cuisine in Berlin. The food is incredibly tasty, authentic, and made with so much care. The atmosphere is beautiful and cozy, with a special charm that makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. A perfect place for a nice dinner with friends or a special evening. I will definitely come back and can highly recommend this restaurant to everyone who loves great Russian food!
One of the best spots for Russian cuisine in Berlin. The borscht is the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve made it a point to visit Russian restaurants across more than 30 countries. The staff is exceptionally friendly and genuinely hospitable. The location is convenient, and the interior and furniture create the perfect atmosphere. Overall, an outstanding experience.
Great spot. Love the classic interior and ambiance. The piano player added to the vibe playing Vince Guaraldi. Food was excellent. Heavily recommend borscht and solianka. Will keep coming back.
The restaurant is clearly a very popular spot — even at lunchtime the place was completely packed, so a reservation is definitely a must. That already sets expectations, and the food fully lives up to them. Everything we tried was delicious, well-balanced, and very enjoyable. Portions are on the moderate side, which actually works well here, as it allows you to order a few different dishes and taste more of the menu. A great option if you like sharing and exploring. The atmosphere is lively and full of character, with lots of decorative details and interesting photos that give the space a distinct personality. Service was fine and efficient, especially considering how busy it was. Overall, a very satisfying lunch experience and a place worth planning ahead for.
