We booked this for a special dinner in Berlin and it did not disappoint! What a lovely evening. Food was fantastic, service was great and sitting outside was just delightful. Highly recommend :)
We wanted to have a good traditional German meal and found PeterPaul online. The restaurant serves German food in a similar manner of Spanish Tapas where cold and hot entrees are small and meant to be shared. All told, there are 22 items on the menu including soups, sides and salads. More than enough, and everything is good. For our dinner we ordered six items: Mountain Cheese Dumplings; Cured Pork; Sauerbraten; Creamy Cucumber Salad; Side of Mashed Potatoes and a Side of Green Beans with Almonds. The cheese dumplings are served with baby spinach, a lemon dressing and roasted onions. We thought we ordered the wrong dish not looking closely at the preparation, but it was delicious. The cured pork cam out looking like a chop, but it was fork-tender and pulled apart into bite-sized pieces of goodness. Likewise our Sauerbraten, made me remember my mother-in-law making this dish for Sunday dinner. She was a great cook and this was equally amazing. I would highly recommend going to this restaurant if you want a taste of German food at a reasonable price with great service. Thank you to the manager and our server for making us feel at home in Berlin. Note: The restaurant was extremely loud. If this bothers you too, they have a very nice patio area out front for dining.
We had a birthday dinner here, and the waitress was so nice! You could really tell she enjoyed working there even though it was super busy. The food portions are perfect for sharing, and the Mountain Cheese Dumplings are definitely a must-try.
One of the best meal in Berlin. We went in a group of four and we got to try almost everything on the menu. The plates are small but still easily shareable so you can try more things. Food was really good. We love the sausage, the meatloaf and all the vegetable and salads they have to offer. Wine was good and reasonably priced. Service was good and friendly. Food was tad bit slow at first but probably because we went on the first seating.
First meal is Berlin, super impressed. Best honey ham (not sure what’s it’s called in German) we ever had. Soft and tasty. Loved the idea that it came in small serving and we could ordered many things.
