A dining experience from back in time! A very traditional restaurant that serves some great food (nothing super special but tasty nonetheless). The atmosphere is what is special here. Candles on each table and a big menu that greets you as you walk in. Definitely a different kind of restaurant experience!
Everything you could wish for as far as traditional German eateries go. Prompt and friendly service, large portions of very tasty food, cozy atmosphere with old-school furnishings which provide plenty of talking points, rock bottom prices for Berlin standards. Note that in keeping with local culture, the beer menu is about 20× the size of the wine menu. Definitely worth your visit as you would be more likely to find a place like this in a small town.
Unplanned visit during lunch hours but ordered the schnitzel from a la carte, since of course you have to have one while visiting Germany. Really cosy old restaurant, felt traditional. The meal was ok, not bad, not amazing, a good schnitzel. The service was good.
