If you’re looking for an authentic German dining experience, this restaurant should definitely be on your list. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by a warm, rustic atmosphere with traditional décor that perfectly reflects the charm of classic German hospitality. It feels cozy, inviting, and exactly the kind of place where you can relax and enjoy a great meal. What really sets this restaurant apart is its food. While the menu stays true to traditional German cuisine, it also includes creative touches that make every dish feel unique without losing its authenticity. Their homemade Spätzle are the true highlight and are well-known for good reason. You simply can’t visit without trying them. My absolute favorite is the Gorgonzola Spätzle. The pasta is perfectly cooked, and the creamy Gorgonzola sauce is rich, flavorful, and wonderfully balanced. It’s indulgent without being overwhelming and easily one of the best Spätzle dishes I’ve ever had. Even if you’re already familiar with German cuisine, this version is something special. The service deserves just as much praise as the food. The staff are genuinely friendly, attentive, and happy to offer recommendations, creating a welcoming atmosphere from start to finish. Their hospitality makes you feel like a valued guest rather than just another customer. One piece of advice: be sure to make a reservation before you go. This restaurant is extremely popular with both locals and visitors, and it’s easy to understand why. The combination of authentic flavors, creative dishes, outstanding Spätzle, excellent service, and charming rustic surroundings makes it a place you’ll want to return to again and again. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or are already a fan of German cuisine, this restaurant offers a memorable dining experience that’s well worth planning ahead for.
The place was extremely cozy and welcoming. The food was very good and tasteful. The service was extremely nice and welcoming. The negative part was not asking us if we wanted dessert before the kitchen closed which made it not possible to order.
Absolutely fabulous traditional German food. Went in not knowing what to expect. Came out with a new deep appreciation for German food. Everything we are was absolutely delicious. Standouts included duck confit (potted like rillettes) with excellent bread, alpine style spaetzel, spinach knoedel, and incredibly tender Schweinbraten (special that day). If we’d had another day in Berlin we would have gone a second time.
Never tried German cuisine before and this was the perfect place to try. Amazing 4 plate salad introduction and then a wonderful spaetzle and spinach knödel as the mains. Atmosphere was also perfect, the restaurant has a real cozy vibe to it perfect for a family meal or date night, definitely coming back!
