If you’re looking for modern German cuisine in Berlin-Mitte, acht&dreissig is an excellent choice. Located directly on Oranienburger Straße, the restaurant combines traditional German dishes with contemporary techniques and creative presentation. One of the highlights is the seasonal three-course menu, which offers great value for anyone wanting to experience the kitchen’s current creations. We decided to add an extra course, and it was absolutely worth it. The portions were surprisingly generous, making the menu both satisfying and well balanced. The standout dish of the evening was the 24-hour slow-cooked pork belly. It was incredibly tender, rich in flavor, and beautifully prepared. The restaurant also features a lovely outdoor terrace overlooking Oranienburger Straße, making it a wonderful place to enjoy dinner while watching the lively atmosphere of Berlin-Mitte. The service was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the evening. If you’re searching for a good modern German restaurants in Berlin-Mitte, or simply want to experience classic German cuisine with a contemporary twist, acht&dreissig is well worth a visit. We’ll definitely be back.
We closed out our four days in Berlin with another great dinner spot -- Acht & Dreissig. This is another gem in the Mitte area of town. The service is warm, efficient and helpful. They made us feel like it was OUR neighborhood restaurant. The food was excellent too. We tried their seasonal White Asparagus Soup. It was devine. Such a good taste of the featured vegetable, with wild garlic oil and a side of crusty bread. For dinner we had the Braised Ox Cheek, which came with potato cream, carrots, broccoli and Port wine gravy. Save some bread to get up every bit of gravy. Our other entree was a filet of Perch with potatoes and white asparagus with hollandaise sauce. Check out the menu online, it is small, but everything on it looks delicious. I would recommend dinner on the patio, but the inside is also beautiful.
Obviously, it’s on the pricey side, but the food was good and the service was excellent
