Delicious food, super kind service and amazing atmosphere! I can very much recommend a visit
Absolutely loved this place! The location right on the Spree is stunning and creates such a unique and memorable atmosphere. The whole setting feels special and a bit different from the usual spots. The food was incredibly delicious, and the desserts were a real highlight. The lunch menu offers a nice variety, including vegetarian options, which is great. Service was excellent — the staff were warm, welcoming, and very helpful throughout. Only small downside: the location is a bit tricky to find and parking nearby is quite limited. But honestly, once you arrive, it’s completely worth it. Went to Holzmarkt for the first time and Katerschmaus was the perfect spot — I’ll definitely be back!
My visit to Katerschmaus was absolutely fantastic! The food was incredibly delicious, and the atmosphere was very unique and interesting, creating a truly memorable dining experience. The charming view of the river and the romantic lights of the passing boats made the evening feel even more magical. The waitress gave excellent recommendations for wine and food pairings — she was fun, attentive, and very knowledgeable, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I especially loved the sorbet made from Japanese plums served between the courses — such a refreshing and surprising touch! The mussels were outstanding — perfectly prepared and full of flavor. I would definitely come back. Highly recommended!
Mmmmh, soooo good! Really excellent quality of both service and food. We were a large group (20) and had family style, listened pretty much to the recommendations of the great supportive staff and had enough delicious food to exactly in the sweet spot after "full" but before "food coma".
The place and the ambience is really amazing, right at the spree and the service is excellent. Food is quite good and the deserts are amazing. The staff was very helpful and speaks perfect English. Only challenge was that The location was really tricky to find and there is no parking option nearby.
