We had a good time overall at Sachsentrance Open Air event. The venue is beautiful, especially the outdoor area by the water, and the staff were all very friendly. The only major downside was the sound. It was unfortunately far below what you'd expect for a rave, and many people at the event seemed to feel the same. Despite numerous complaints from visitors, the music was not turned up, apparently because of residents on the other side of the Spree. While that is understandable to some extent, it feels questionable to host and sell tickets for a rave if adequate sound levels are not possible. Hopefully this can be resolved for future events.
I was always excited to see this place. It looked very beautiful from the outside. On June 6th, three of us went there for the NTO event. We danced and had fun with the other people there. However, there were two big problems. The first and most important one was the terrible sound system. I tried very hard to hear the music, but I still couldn't. The second problem was that they sold more tickets than the venue could handle. I didn't mind not finding a seat, but when I listen to live music, I want to see the DJ at least once to feel connected to the music and the atmosphere. Unfortunately, I didn't see NTO even once. I give 2 stars only because of the beautiful river view and the friendly staff.
We came to a party that was supposed to last until midnight, it's 22h22 and the music has been off for about 30mins. Music was above average and quite good at times, except for the last DJ. It seems they were so bad they shut down the party. Also, very smart casual event with loads of people filming and whatnot... definitely not Berlin. I guess I was mislead to a tourist event and that's on me. Still... you owe us 2 hours of party.
