Khao Taan
Berlin
En un coup d'œil
Avis
Delicious food, definitely one of the best Thai places in Berlin (I lived in Bangkok for some time, so I am very picky). We had one snack, one salad and 3 mains for two people, and it was enough. Beef curry and braised pork were both good, but tom yum was probably my favorite thing. Crispy rice salad was not quite my taste, but my friend loved it. Super friendly service and good vibes. Definitely reserve in advance because the place gets very full.
Flavor of the food was fine, but nothing really special. Not super spicy. The temp of the food was lukewarm like the dishes had been sitting out. The portions are incredibly small for the price. The atmosphere was cold. Service was friendly.
This is a place where you can really try authentic Thai recipes, different flavors from the standard we are used to trying Thai food out of Thailand (the classical pad Thai is not part of the menu). Even if the food was good, I was a bit unhappy about the service: no indication that the kitchen was closing so we were not able to try the dessert. This is a pity considering that you are paying minimum 40/50€ each (with wine).
