Very nice restaurant, visited it several times and will definately come again !
I’m giving this review to offset the unfair defamation reviews. There’s a lot of people who just hate on this place because it’s Israeli. Comments like “call it what it is, Palestinian food” or worse. Their political opinions do not belong in a restaurant review. Also note: most of the 1 star reviews without comment come from accounts with Arab names. Probably they’ve never even been there. Draw your own conclusions. Me, I’m gonna go to this restaurant when my parents visit me soon.
We went there for brunch and ordered the Sabbich plate. Unfortunately, we had to wait quite a while for our food, even though there were several chefs visible in the kitchen and the place wasn't busy. The coffee was truly excellent. Unfortunately, that didn’t carry over to the food. The hummus was okay, but not particularly remarkable, it definitely needed more salt, lemon, and a lot more olive oil. The eggplant was also just okay. I did enjoy the pickled cucumbers, though. Unfortunately, the eggs were overcooked and dry. You can tell the kitchen puts in effort, but the menu still needs some serious fine-tuning. Overall, sadly, just okay.
Aviv has catered two parties for us - our wedding and our daughter‘s first birthday. Both times the food was spectacular, and praised by all the guests. The setup and service were flawless and meant we didn’t have to worry about anything on the day. We are regular guests at AVIV and can recommend it wholeheartedly.
