Nice restaurant. Tried some of the tapas - great way to try some German food. My favourite of the tapas was the two mini sausages. I liked the curry sausage and baked potatoes too. The bread that came with the tapas was nice! A bit crunchy on the ends so be careful when biting down. Tried the RINDERROULADE which wasn't to my liking (personal taste) however it was still good food. Dessert (KAISERSCHMARRN) was great and a large portion. Service was very good. Would recommend this place 😄
We decided to try schnitzel for our final meal in Berlin, but unfortunately, this restaurant was a major disappointment. The atmosphere was pleasant enough, and the place had a nice local vibe, which initially gave us high expectations. However, the service experience left a lot to be desired. We waited more than 40 minutes for our food, while several tables that were seated 20 minutes after us were served first. Although the server was polite and apologetic, it felt as though other guests were being prioritized over us throughout our visit. Whether intentional or not, that was certainly the impression we were left with. The food itself was just okay. The pork schnitzel was bland and dry, lacking the flavor and quality we had hoped for. By the time our meal finally arrived, we had already finished our drinks during the long wait, which made the dining experience even less enjoyable. Overall, while the atmosphere was decent, the combination of the long wait, the apparent lack of attention to our table, and the mediocre food made for a disappointing final meal in Berlin.
The best meal I had in Germany! Authentic food with a lot more flavor than expected. The service here is amazing, if you come between 4-6pm you get a discount and no reservation needed. Everyone gets a welcome drink which was a lovely surprise. The food portions are MASSIVE so come with an appetite. That being said it was worth every penny and sooo delicious. The jam that came on the side was a wonderful addition, potatoes were cooked perfectly and the veal was spot thin. Also got the dark beer which wasnt too heavy and paired well. Highly recommend this place for any group size, just make a reservation if you can!
A hidden gem that absolutely deserves its #1 spot! Tucked away but 100% worth the find! We pre-booked and were given the choice of indoor or outdoor dining—the atmosphere was buzzing for a Tuesday evening. Right upon arrival, we were welcomed with a refreshing 1/3 pint of lager, which was a fantastic touch. For starters, I tried the sausages and sauerkraut. It was my first time having sauerkraut, and they have officially set the bar high! For our mains, I had the veal schnitzel and my partner had the pork, served with potatoes and cranberry jelly. Both dishes were absolutely amazing. Even the cucumber garnish was delicious, and I don't even like cucumber! Generous portions, reasonable prices, and incredible service. It is easy to see why this place is rated #1.
It is our first time in Berlin and we wanted to try some local food restaurants. Schnitzel Mitte was recommended by our hotel staff. It didn't disappoint but it may be worth booking for it was very busy even for a Monday evening. The site is quite off the beaten track in a residential area but easily found with Google maps. We were greeted with a complimentary beer on arrival. The staff were very good, friendly, professional and very attentive. I had a Beef Schnitzel with local potato salad and triple potatoes, it was excellent. My wife had the Cordon Bleu chicken Schnitzel which was also excellent. We had a tapas of desserts to share which were delicious. Overall a very good standard and brilliant place to eat in a friendly atmosphere for a busy restaurant.
