Absolutely orgasmic food! 🤤🇩🇪 Wow — what an incredible experience at Maximilians! The food was absolutely delicious and truly represents authentic Bavarian cuisine. Every dish was packed with flavor, beautifully hearty, and incredibly satisfying. The portions are HUGE — seriously, you definitely won’t leave hungry! 😂 And the food came out surprisingly fast, which was another big plus. The beer was delicious too and paired perfectly with everything. 🍺 I had such a fantastic time and enjoyed every single bite. If you’re in Berlin and want to experience proper local Bavarian food, Maximilians is a TOP recommendation! 🔥🇩🇪
The food tasted really good, the waiter was nice, and the environment was good. The portions could be larger for the price, I’m thinking specifically about the chicken breast, and in some cases the food was a little cold. Overall, really good restaurant! But be prepared to spend 19-40 euros per plate.
Food is decent. The server didn't really explain to us the portion sizes and potentially warned us about over ordering a schwein haxen (pork hock). If you want to try more of the Bavarian selections here I suggest you get the smaller portion of the pork hock and try more other dishes such as the sausages or schnitzel. But overall, the food and drinks are good.
Was really delicious and traditional German/Bavarian food. We had amazing service with a kind waiter (Kaya) who spoke wonderful English and he helped us pick a great variety to try. He said they make most everything fresh in house. Clean space. Nice atmosphere. Only piece of feedback is some of the food was a little salty, but was not a negative overall.
We were just at the Checkpoint Charlie walking towards Unter den Linden when we saw the sign of a Bavarian Restaurant. When we stepped in, the staff immediately brought us to our table. All the decor are made of wood which makes the ambience light and cosy where you can stay and relax. I wanted Bratwurst on our last day in Berlin. We also ordered half a portion of the roast pork knuckle. I am so glad we did that as the pork knuckle was very delicious and the crackling was unbelievable. I had the Bavarian pancakes when we were in Munich 2 years ago. In the restaurant, they had the Emperor Pancakes which was freshly prepared similar to what we had in Munich. You just got to be patient as it takes about 20 minutes and they were good. The staff were so friendly which we didn't encounter a lot while in Berlin. This is my best meal that we had in terms of food quality, restaurant ambience and service. Definitely a place that we would recommend to visit.
