The food was nice but the service unfortunately was not. We had the six course menu and wine pairing and started off with a glass of champagne. All of the glasses were no more than 2 or 3 sips, only once did i have a refill. It was extremely weird, never had this in a michelin starred place. The service therefore was really bad, with 2 courses they just completely forgot to explain the dishes. Pouring the wine didn't happen at the table, which was also quite weird to me and not seen before. Would not recommend this place at all. We paid 472 euros for 2.
Well, it was a mixed experience for a fine dining dinner we had here. The atmosphere was relaxed, a simple and casual vibe. But maybe a bit too relaxed, several small mistakes such as the menu came and took away after choice made, wrong cutlery was given or wrong paring wine was poured… the pace of the course was also slow, compared to amuse bouche arrived quickly at the beginning. The food delivered the technique one could expect from a Michelin starred chef. The sauces were on point, and the umami from the ingredients were absolutely enjoyable. But for two courses (the Steinbutt and the Lamm) the salt was too generous. I’ve always heard German chefs are heavy on using salt, this was a confirmation to me😂 The wine pairing was actually really good, each of the wine was not only interesting by itself, but also elevated the taste of the courses.
Food was good and Michelin quality, although there seemed to be no real theme. Service was very spotty. Never asked if we wanted more wine or water when we had finished. Sommelier seemed more interested in taking to his pals. Dishes came out very slowly. Overall, better to spend your money elsewhere.
