The food was very well cooked (perfect meat) but we expected a bit more flavor variance. The ceviche could have been more sour/spicy and the portion was quite small for the price. However we can definitely recommend the restaurant, the drinks are also very good but a but pricey.
We booked through The Fork, which offered a 30% discount on all food. For three people we ordered four dishes – Causa de Pollo de Maíz, Ceviche de Pescado (large), Chaufa a la Anaconda and Lomo Saltado – which was plenty. We were also upsold the Chicharrón de Chancho, which we declined as there was already too much food and we wanted to save room for dessert. There were two desserts on the menu and we wanted to try both, shared between the three of us. We were told the first wasn't available, but that they could offer a platter of three to share: panna cotta, plus two ice creams made with cocona and purple corn. We asked for one portion. What arrived was three mini-portions of each of the three desserts (pictured), which we took to be a single sharing platter. We did not ask the price explicitly. On the final bill, every food dish had the 30% discount applied. The dessert platter ("postre mix"), however, was charged at €35 – meaning €50 before discount. The most expensive single dessert on the menu is €10.90 before discount, so three separate desserts would have cost far less than this platter. We raised with the manager that the price wasn't right, as we had ordered only one portion. We were brushed off and told it was indeed one portion. The only resolution offered was a €10 discount. We were also offered a digestif as a gesture, which we politely declined. Overall, the handling of the dessert felt dishonest and left a bad taste. Even if it counted as three desserts, a €50 pre-discount price is extortionate. For that reason we wouldn't return or recommend it.
Excellent service by wonderful Joana who gave us a first explanation of the Peruvian dishes and specialities of the house. The food was absolutely fantastic. Thank you, we will come back, that's for sure. 🫶⚘️
Highly recommend this place! The octopus was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. The service was top-notch, and the atmosphere is incredibly cozy and full of character. A very warm, vibey, and welcoming spot — definitely worth visiting!
Amazing food, excellent service, and a very pleasant atmosphere. This is the first place I’ve found outside Peru that serves truly authentic food from the selva (peruvian rainforest). The homemade cecina and chorizo were outstanding, and the juane was exactly how you’d find it in the selva, wrapped in hojas de bijao. The service was kind, attentive, and extremely helpful. You can really feel the care they put into both the food and the overall experience. We were only in Berlin for the weekend, but we were so glad we discovered this restaurant. We will definitely come back every time we’re in Berlin.
