Fantastic place! Heavily recommended by out Thai friends and I definitely can tell why! Yes the food can be spicy, but absolutely delicious. The fish is an absolute must. I have no pictures because it's difficult to control oneself when the food comes, you just want to immediately dive in. Highly recommend!
Been meaning to visit Larb Koi after enthusiastic reviews from my friends. Upon arriving, the waitress asked if we were there before and mentioned that there are no vegan options in the menu (we were aware that even meatless dishes contain fish sauce) and that the food is properly spicy (and it was!). Good to be upfront about that! Unfortunately, another info that is visible right at the door is that the restaurant is cash only. In 2026, restaurant at this level not accepting cards is a bad experience, even for Berlin standards. We took out the cash and proceeded anyway. We ordered oysters - they were big and juicy, I really liked them. We weren’t extremely hungry, so we shared a papaya salad (really spicy!) and tataki tuna with lemongrass salad. The waitress recommended to order 2-3 plates for 2 people to share, however, two would definitely not be enough for us if we were hungrier. The food was really good though, fresh and of taste. Together with drinks (water, one beer and one glass of wine) we paid about 60 euros (without the tip), which is really a lot considering the size of the portions. This matched the experience of my friends who also said Larb Koi wasn’t cheap. All in all, amazing food but quite expensive for the amount you’re getting. If the portions were bigger and the cards were accepted, it would be a 5 stars review, unfortunately those two things slightly spoiled an otherwise nice evening.
Funky spicy flavors. The tuna tataki was very good! Every dish was elevated or authentic Thai. I'll keep coming back! 4th visit!
The food was truly delicious — but only if you like it spicy. Every dish (oysters, tuna tataki, fish curry) was intensely hot. I made the mistake of coming on an empty stomach… wouldn’t recommend 🙂 Besides the food, there’s also a good wine selection. The dishes were served surprisingly fast. Cash only. I’d recommend making a reservation - on Saturday evening, all tables were occupied.
Spectacularly good on all levels. This is a shining star, a diamond in the otherwise bland Simon Dach gastronomic desert. Taste, Freshness, Presentation and Service are top notch. Both chef and staff understand the true meaning of hospitality and you will be treated to an exceptionally hearty and fulfilling meal. The spiciness is just right. Worth coming back to try everything else on the menu (and there are rotating specials too).
