Lunch at Fischer & Lustig was a real highlight of our Berlin trip. The Rumpsteak, Lamb Shank, and Brook Trout were all cooked perfectly and full of flavour, and the potato wedges were genuinely excellent too. Our server made us feel welcome from the start and looked after us throughout. If you like beer, the Franziskaner wheat beer is a must, crisp and refreshing. Highly recommend!
The food is sooo good, it just fit my taste and staff there are nice and friendly. I love the vibe there! It also has multi-translated menu which is so sweet~ I would definitely go there again if I been to Berlin next time 🥰🫶🏻btw it’s near the cathedral.
We had a wonderful evening here and would absolutely recommend it. There were four of us, and even on a Tuesday night in the middle of winter the restaurant was already fully booked for 7:00 pm, so we reserved a table for 7:30 in advance - definitely a good idea. The atmosphere was lovely: very cozy, beautifully furnished, and pleasantly quiet. We ended up staying well over two hours simply enjoying the conversation and the ambiance. It never felt rushed, and we were perfectly comfortable lingering at the table. We started by sharing oysters, which were fresh and enjoyable. For my main course I had the Wild Henry - a traditional dish with sauerkraut and two wild boar sausages (€16) - and it was fantastic. Everyone else at the table loved their dishes as well. The main dishes aren’t huge portions, but just fine. For dessert we ordered the sharing dessert plate for two (22€), and it turned out to be just enough for the four of us - and honestly, it was amazing. We also tried the local beer, which paired nicely with the meal. Service was excellent throughout the evening: attentive, friendly, and everything arrived at just the right pace. All in all, with oysters to share, main courses, beers, and the dessert platter, the bill came to about 33€ per person, which felt like great value for such a pleasant experience. A perfect evening - we would happily come back.
Cozy restaurant, where we had dinner on a Monday evening. I ordered the schnitzel, served with a delicious potato salad, and my husband had the pork cheeks. He mentioned that those were the best pork cheeks he ever had. They offer house brewed beer, which is nice. Service was friendly, maybe a bit slow, despite the restaurant not being full. Prices are maybe a tad bit higher, but overall worth it given the quality of the food.
The restaurant is easy to get to, and the space is quite spacious. Inside, the decor is ornate and the furnishings are really unique. For drinks, I ordered the Beer Spritz and an Iced Tea, both tasted amazing. For food, we tried a few mains (like the Smoked Duck Breast and Pan-Fried Cod). The real highlight was dessert, the Chocolate Spiced Pudding was absolutely delicious. The drinks and dessert definitely stood out. The service was professional yet friendly, and the atmosphere was comfortable with a well-organized layout. Even though the prices are on the higher side, the great drinks, excellent dessert, and overall experience still made it feel worthwhile.
