Berlin Beer Week 2018

Calling all lovers of local artisanal beer, top-notch food and good times: The fourth annual Berlin Beer Week is taking over the city from July 20-29, 2018!

Berlin Beer Week is a ten-day-long citywide celebration of independently and locally-brewed craft beer in the capital, the first of its kind in Germany -- the festival takes place over a ten-day period because there’s just too much amazing beer currently coming out of this city to properly honor it in less time. Also, we admit, we’re a bit prone to excess because we like having a good time. The festival pays homage to high-quality beer produced by people who love and care about their product, as opposed to industrial-produced beer of low quality brewed by faceless drones pressing buttons in the same order over and over again.

The “week” is comprised of numerous breweries, bars, restaurants, bottle shops, and other craft beer-affiliated locations hosting multiple events per day such as pop-up beach bars, beer and food dinners and pairings, special beer releases and guided tastings, music, entertainment and art-related events, “Beerlesque” (burlesque + beer) nights, live brewing demonstrations, beer-cocktail events, Meet the Brewer showcases, and other events that symbolize and celebrate the ongoing growth of Berlin’s vibrant brewing industry.

As always, there will be an official festival beer on tap at participating locations, the product of a collaboration between local breweries made especially for Beer Week. The style will be an innovative but highly drinkable beer to enjoy during the long summer days and nights. We’re not quite ready to say who our collaborators are this year and what they are brewing, but our past exploits - a juicy Pale Ale, a Honey and Lemon Berliner Weisse and an Earl Grey Pilsener, should give you an idea of what to expect.
